Pole Dance Photography

If you'd like to purchase any images taken by myself at the various events and workshops I've been in attendance, either digitally, or in print (on paper or canvass), please do view either of the following pages:

You'll also see I have a significant understanding of pole dancing events and performances, and for this reason am one of the most widely published pole dance photographers. This wasn't an intentional direction, but one which grew out of demand by my clients due to my understanding of pole dance for fitness and as an art form.

I'm a registered pole performer myself (=in my case more acrobatics than dance), and I'm married to one of the most successful full-time pole dance teachers in the UK, Jolene of Purity Pole Dancing, who also assists me on some of the pole shoots.

About:

After getting into pole dancing for fitness myself, back in 2006, and subsequently becoming a member of Equity for my professional pole dance performances, I'm fortunate to understand a great deal about pole dancing from both in-front of, and behind the lens.

My main focus on capturing pole dancers on film, is to help promote pole dancing in a positive light. As a result, even at events, I'll avoid certain less flattering angles, and try to promote the fitness/strength/flexibility aspects of any performance (unless of course the main focus for yourself is glamour).

My wife, Jolene Parlour, is also an established professional pole dance instructor herself (and founder of Purity Pole Dancing). She's often on-hand during many of my pole shoots, to support dancers during their photoshoot, help arrange particular moves, and provide expert tips on how to improve some moves you may be struggling with.

I'm also a regular professional photographer for both X-Pole and the R-Pole, have been an official photographer for most of the larger UK Pole events for many years now (such as 'Miss Pole Dance UK', 'UKAPP', 'Pole Divas', etc.)

I also regularly use the Purity Studio in Reading, both for improving my own pole technique, and taking photos at our dedicated studio.

Whether your an internationally famous pole dancer (and I'm fortunate to have worked with quite a few), or a new student to Pole Dancing (either for fitness, or glamour), I'm confident we'll be able to capture the shots you're after.

Pole Events:

If you'd like professional photography at your pole dancing event, please contact me directly to discuss. There are a variety of payment options available, from fully funded (you get copies of all images taken at the event), to partially funded (you pay a minimum fee, and get a set number of images for that price, with the option to purchase more at the normal rate), or occasionally whereby I have my basic costs covered, but I may attend for free but have the opportunity to sell images from the event to performers, guests, etc.

At the Purity Studio:

Photo Shoots at the Purity Studio in Reading are regularly available, when it's not in use for other classes.

You can either book by the hour, or share time with other dancers (and thus giving you free 'rest time' between batches of each shoot).

Dedicated studio time:

If you'd prefer to have exclusive use of the Purity Studio for your pole shoot, this is available from just £150+VAT.

Shared studio time:

Many pole schools are choosing to share studio time amongst their students, to help maximise the time available whilst also helping to minimise the costs.

This is available, for a minimum booking of 2 hours in the studio, from just £200+VAT.

Professional Make-Up Artists:

We also work with a number of professional make-up artists, with whom you can book to join the shoot.

These are typically available from £30 per hour, or £60 per shoot.
